Nepal is a landlocked country encircled by India to the South, East, and West and China to the North, housing to eight tallest mountains including Mount Everest, the world’s tallest mountain also known as the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal. The capital city of Nepal is Katmandu, it has many Buddhist temples. The main festival of Nepal is the Dashain Festival celebrated by the Hindu people in Nepal, in the month of October or November. It is the biggest and longest festival of Nepal celebrated for 15 days, the most important days among the 15 days are the first, seventh, eighth, ninth, and tenth. During this festival, they worship Durga Maa and all relatives are gathered together to take the blessing of the senior members. Other vibrant and joyful festivals include Thar (Diwali), Teej, Gai Jatra, Maha Shivaratri, Indra Jatra, Fagun Purnima (Holi), Buddha Jayanti, Janai Purnima, Shree Krishan Janmashtami, and Maghe Sankranti.
