Pangong Lake is the most popular tourist attraction place in Ladakh. It is known as Pangong Tso and the lake is situated at 4350 meters. This place is famous among the tourist as the spot where the Bollywood movie “3 Idiot” shoot there. The beauty of Pangong lake is a mesmerizing view of Ladakh. The main attraction of tourists there is it changes colors from azure to light and blue to Green and Grey.

Zanskar Valley

Zanskar is located in the district of Kargil to the east of Ladakh. The easiest way to reach Zanskar Valley is Kargil through Suru valley. Zanskar is mostly traveled for Trekking and river rafting and is known for the raw Landscape. December to February is the best month to traveling to Zanskar and undertaking the challenge Chadar trek.

Khardung La

Kardung La is popularly known as “Khardzong La” It is the highest motorable road in India with an elevation of 5,602 meters. It was built in 1976 and opened to the public in 1988. It is perfect for adventure, peace seekers, and mountain biking. Due to heavy rains and snowfall from October to May Khardung la closed.

Shanti Stupa Ladakh

The Shanti Stupa in Leh is a white-domed Buddhist monument and a dizzying height of 11,841 feet. It is a religious place for the Buddhists, It is also popular amongst tourists as it offers a sweeping view of Leh and the nearby Changspa village. Shanti Stupa was constructed in 1991 by  Bhikshu Gyomyo Nakamura and Japanese Buddhist. The construction was jointly done by the Japanese and Ladakhi Buddhists to mark the completion of 2500 years of Buddhism and to promote world peace. Shanti Stupa is a perfect getaway for both- those looking to obtain peace from offering prayers to God and those waiting to be mesmerized by nature’s wondrous beauty.
