1. Pangong Lake
Pangong Lake is a popular tourist attraction in Ladakh. Pangong lake is situated at 4350 meters. It is also known as Pangong Tso and it is 12 kilometers long and it extends from India to Tibet. Pangong lake is 60% lies in the Tibetan Autonomous Region. It is famous amongst tourists as the spot and the Bollywood movie “3 Idiots” was shot here. Ladakh- “India’s Own Moonland”
2. Magnetic Hill
The Magnetic Hill of Ladakh is a cyclops hill. If you want to experience this, park the car in the neutral gear in the yellow box and marked a few meters ahead of the Magnetic Hill road. Here, the car starts moving at a speed of 20kmph.
3. Zanskar Valley
It is located in the Kargil district to the east of Ladakh, around 105 km. It lies the bewitching Zanskar Valley. It is known as Zahar and it is known locally and it is separated from Ladakh by the Zanskar mountain range which is a part of The Tethys Himalayas. It is also known for its raw landscape and is mostly traveled to for trekking and river rafting.
4. Khardung La
Khardung La situated in the Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir and it is near Leh. It is also known as Khardzong La and it is a high mountain pass. Khardung La is popular the highest motorable road in India with an elevation of 5602 meters. Its actual elevation is 5359 meters making Dungri La the highest motorable road pass in India.
5. Nubra Valley
Nubra valley is lush with greenery in Ladakh’s dessert and moonlike landscapes and slopes. It is almost 3000m lower than Leh. It is snuggled between the Karakoram Range and nourished by two rivers. Nubra is brimming with Sea buckthorns and Alfalfa. During summers, the valley is carpeted with pink and yellow roses.
